Gas Technology is a division of the DVGW Research Centre at Engler-Bunte-Institute of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). For 50 years, this department has been a competent partner in gas utilities and other gas related technologies.

Here, issues like safe and environmentally friendly gas treatment, distribution and use of gaseous fuels and combustibles, their effect on humans and the environment are researched using scientifically-oriented methods.

In cooperation with the Department of Fuel Technology, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), a wide range of scientific methods and trained personnel are used in research.
